Examination: Conducted every February and September

Papers: 2 written papers + 1 Viva-voce (Oral Examination)

Course Overview

Visharad Uttarardha is the second part of the Higher-Level Hindi course sequence. It focuses on advanced understanding and appreciation of Hindi Poetry and Drama. Carefully curated materials engage both reading and listening skills with core vocabulary useful for real-world usage.

In-class sessions emphasize structured speaking, form-focused practice, pair/group discussions, and engaging topics to strengthen fluency.

  • Ancient Hindi Poetry, Modern Hindi Poetry, Urdu Poetry
  • Analysis of Famous Hindi Khand Kavya
• Paper 2:
  • Analysis of a Famous Hindi Drama
  • Study of One Act Plays
  • Study of Ancient Indian History
• Paper 3: Viva-Voce (Oral Exam)
  • Testing conversational fluency in Hindi
  • Grasp of Hindi literature and ability to respond appropriately
